Is she or isn’t she?  Jessica Simpson has not confirmed her pregnancy, but I think this photo taken of the superstar this past weekend at New York’s JFK airport says it all.  Jessica is engaged to Eric Johnson and has been mum about her growing belly.  I think an announcement will be coming soon.  I’m excited for her and I’ve always been a big fan.  We even like the same boy bander. So, come on, Jessica!  Give us a tweet with the happy news!

E! correspondent Giuliana Rancic and her husband (Apprentice winner) Bill Rancic are an amazing power couple.  I’ve been watching their Style Network reality show, Giuliana and Bill,  for a couple of years now.

I love their chemistry.  They have openly shared their struggle to have a baby.  It’s been heartbreaking.  And now this.  Giuliana announced on NBC’s Today Show this morning that she has breast cancer.  She will undergo surgery this week followed by another six weeks of radiation therapy.

The amazing thing is she found out she has breast cancer from a mammogram test she was not planning to have until she was 40 years old.  Her doctor basically made her do it in now in order to go through another round of in-vitro fertilization.  She has no history of cancer in her immediate family and she is only 36 years old.  She said her unborn child has saved her life.

The message?  Even if you are scared of the doctor, like me, go and get your mammogram this month.  I’m scheduling mine today.

My favorite reality show housewife, Bethenny Frankel, has just launched her new cocktail sensation, the Skinnygirl Sangria.  I am SO excited because I don’t like tequila so I couldn’t enjoy the super popular Skinnygirl Margarita (The drink that made her a multi-millionaire.) But I definitely plan to taste test the Skinnygirl Sangria.  And speaking of skinny girls, how thin and fit is Bethenny? She looks amazing in this hot pink dress with shocking orange Brian Atwood pumps.  All the celebrities go crazy for Mr. Atwood’s heels.  I wish I had the nerve, or the place, to wear them.  But I’ll be happy to sit in my comfy PJs and watch Bethenny Ever After when it returns to Bravo TV for a confirmed third season later this year.

There was a time, a few years back, when I could not tell the difference between all the young, cute girls who starred on the popular Disney Channel television shows.  Then, Hannah Montana made Miley Cyrus a HUGE superstar and I saw her first interview on The Oprah Winfrey Show.  I was floored by her immense popularity.  After that, I took notice.  Not just of Miley, but of all the other girls on the scene like Raven Symone and Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato.  They were all young and talented and every little girl began to worship them.  You could not miss the posters and bed sheets in all the tween stores.  But I couldn’t tell you which one starred in iCarly or Suite Life of Waverly Place or Wizards of something or other.

Then, Miley grew up and showed her independence…maybe she showed a little TOO much of her independence.   Moms like me got upset. What happened to this adorable young star with the big smile whose Daddy was her best friend?  It was reminiscent of when Britney tumbled off that role model pedestal we all built for her.

I now know who Selena Gomez is because she recently started dating boy wonder Justin Bieber.  That’s probably NOT what she wants to be known for, is it?  And then there was poor Demi Lovato.  The headlines were bad.  She got in a fist fight with one her back up dancers. She canceled her tour.  Some said it was because she was depressed about a breakup with her best friend, Joe Jonas. There were also reports that she cut herself and had an eating disorder.  Just some really awful, sad stuff.

Demi left the scene, went to rehab, and took care of herself which, I think, was the most important decision she’s ever made.  I hope she also got lots of hugs from her Mama.  These kids are just that…kids.  They are young girls growing up in front of us.  They were blessed with extraordinary talents, but that doesn’t mean they don’t struggle with peer pressure and body issues and heart break too. And, let’s be honest, it’s magnified for all the world to see.  I know it was their choice (maybe?) to go into the entertainment business and I don’t think I would allow my daughter to enter that world until she was AT LEAST 18 years old, but the truly awesome thing about falling down in front of everyone is that you can also show the world how you can stand right back up.  And that’s what Demi did.  In front of everyone.

I go to Target every other week to get all my cleaning supplies.  (I try to avoid all the cute clothes and the stuff in the dollar bins…but that never happens.)

Well, two weeks ago I needed sponges and I threw these in my cart:

I love the O-Cel-O brand and I use them all the time.  But then I opened up the package at home and saw this:

I gave it a second, and a third, look.  These were DIFFERENT.  These were COOL.  I felt a little hipper washing my dishes and my toilets with some funky model faces and a little leopard print.  I was wondering about the new design.

Later that night I was watching a “Reality Rules” special on ABC’s 20/20. (Of course I was.)  Christian Siriano, winner of Bravo’s Project Runway, was featured.  He was being interviewed about his fashion fame and then, all of a sudden, they mentioned that he designed…SPONGES!

Yes.  I have Christian Siriano sponges.  How much more Pop Mommy can I get?  SO fierce.

Last night something really exciting happened in Jacksonville …I got dressed up! I wore heels! I went out to a club! Oh, and I met Gretchen Rossi and Slade Smiley from Bravo TV’s The Real Housewives of Orange County.

Yes, Gretchen is just as small and pretty in person as you would think. Perfect hair. Perfect makeup. Perfect teeth. And a very sweet personality. I think Slade really enjoyed the attention much more than she did. And, hey, Kara Keough was there too!

Kara’s the one in the colorful bustier who looks like a swimsuit model. She is Jeana Keough’s daughter. Jeana was one of the original stars of The Real Housewives of OC and she’s also made a couple of appearances this season. They brought her back to create some tension with Tamra. (I love this show.) Kara was last seen going to school at Berkeley University. I found out last night that she now lives in Jacksonville! Super cool. She moved here to be near her boyfriend, Jacksonville Jaguar Kyle Bosworth, who she met when she transferred to UCLA. Kara seemed pretty chummy with Gretchen and Slade.

Gretchen and Slade flew into town for a special appearance at this cool new lounge/nightclub in Jacksonville called Suite. Suite is located right in the middle of a suburban shopping center but you would never know it. It’s very hip and trendy and I love that they have a dress code. You can wear jeans but I convinced Hubbie to rock his suit. He looked amazing. I wore a dress from New York & Company. It’s a black and white wrap dress and it was very comfortable.

Since Hubbie is a morning radio guy, we got the special hookup. Joe, The General Manager, sat us in the outside VIP lounge where a waitress brought us drinks. We were the first ones to see Gretchen and Slade when they arrived.

This isn’t Gretchen, but doesn’t Hubbie’s morning radio producer, Ashley, have some serious Gretchen hair? SO jealous.

I also had some fun with my neighborhood Mommy Group friends. We usually meet up at the park for play dates so it was so nice to get dressed up and do something fun without the kiddies in tow. Now here’s a shot of some REAL housewives. We had a blast.

Suite has an amazing drink menu. I stuck to Sauvignon Blanc but my Mommy friends had the special low calorie martini from The Slim List. It was fun to chat and compliment each other’s dresses, jewelry, and shoes. I spotted three women (including Ashley) with the same neutral Guess heels. How cute are they? I must go out and buy a pair. Nude is apparently the new black.

It was a bit chaotic in the meet and greet area. Everyone was trying to get Gretchen and Slade’s attention.

We managed to push our way to the front to get some photos. I was planning on asking Gretchen if she was still with Slade, but that question was obviously answered for me. So I asked her about her hair. Yes, she does it herself. Yes, she uses hot rollers. And that’s about as far as I got. Hubbie managed to jump in for a couple photos before we moved aside to let everyone else have their 5 seconds with the reality stars.

Then we were out. It was past midnight and past my bedtime. We had soccer in the morning. It was so fun to get a little glamorous and hang out with a bunch of celebrities. Now back to my life as a Real Housewife of Jacksonville, Florida.

Jon Hamm is one handsome guy.  I love him in Mad Men. It’s one of my favorite television shows.  And he just turned 40!  We are the same age!  Whoot!

And since it’s all about celebrity HAIR lately, here’s a pic of Jennifer Aniston’s brand new bob haircut.  It looks light she lightened the color too.  I really like it.   I might talk to my stylist about trying this look too.  Well, once my hair grows a bit longer.
