About

about_me600Hi.  My name is Pam.  I’m a thirty-something stay-at-home mom with two wonderful children.  My amazing son Daniel (“Bean”) was born August 2006 and my awesome daughter Annabel arrived February 2008.  Before becoming a mom, I worked as a promotional rep and publicist for the movie and radio industries. I’ve met a bunch of famous musicians, actors, politicians, and A-List celebrities.  There were days I wanted to quit.  There were days I cried.  There were days I could not believe my exciting, surreal life.  But nothing compares to being a mom.

I married the man of my dreams on September 15, 2001 (four days after 9/11.)  My husband Mark is a morning radio host and we met on the job.  We lived together for 2 years before he popped the question.  We were married in a beautiful courtyard in Charleston, SC. (The church wouldn’t have us because we were “living in sin.”  We later corrected that with a marriage blessing .)

I’m a conservative and a Catholic and I am madly in love with my country.  My favorite holidays are Christmas and the Fourth of July.  I can’t cook but I’m learning to bake.  I love sushi, Maryland crabs, red wine (although now that I live in Florida, it’s been a lot more white), and triple venti peppermint mochas.  I love to make lists. I love to dance. I listen to 80’s Pop, Top 40 radio, and lots of Raffi. As much as I love email and the internet, I still need Hallmark cards and photo albums.

I’m obsessed with everything entertainment.  I read PEOPLE magazine the moment I grab it from the mailbox. I check out the gossip websites when the kiddies are napping.  I just finished Tori Spelling’s SECOND book.  I watch all of those award shows and I have not missed one episode of OPRAH.  And I think two of the greatest inventions of our generation are TIVO and Reality Television.

I’m excited to have an online diary to document my life as a wife, mommy and pop culture junkie.   Welcome to my world….

Pam
