“The Office”

For me, The Office ended two years ago when Michael Scott (Steve Carell) left the show.  It did finally, officially, end this month after a great run.  But the heart of the show was Steve Carell’s lovable, dysfunctional, hilarious, “World’s Best Boss,”  Michael Scott.

I’ll admit I had a bit of a warm-up period with The Office.  Hubbie and I would watch during the first season and just roll our eyes.  But we’d still return the next week to see what all the fuss was about.  The show was about the relationships between these crazy people who just happened to work at the same paper company. And it turned out to be some seriously addicting television.  The Office got better every season as the characters developed, the relationships got more complicated, the writing got funnier, and Jim (John Krasinksi) and Pam (Jenna Fischer) finally sealed the deal!  I still watch The Office Christmas episodes (Christmas Party and A Benihana Christmas) every December with a cup of eggnog.

But the reason I kept tuning in was truly because of Steve Carell.  I’ll miss you, Michael.  It’s been a long, fun ride.  (That’s what she said.)
